Our Most Recent Award Successes

At Pennine, we’re delighted to announce that our commitment to people development and manufacturing excellence has recently earned us two prestigious awards. As one of the UK’s leading employee-owned medical device manufacturers, we’re proud to see our hard work recognised in both our people-centered culture and our dedication to continuous improvement.

We’re honored to have won the Commitment to People Development Award at the East Midlands Chamber Derby Business Awards. This award recognises our dedication to building an empowering and supportive environment for our team. From training initiatives to professional development programs, we invest in our people at every stage of their careers. We believe that our team members’ growth, skills, and satisfaction play a vital role in helping us achieve our goal of protecting lives and advancing healthcare solutions. This award is a testament to the collaborative spirit and commitment of everyone at Pennine, and what made it even more special was that two of our long-standing operations staff, Jat and Allison, were able to attend the awards with our Head of Operations, Richard.

Adding to our excitement, we were also named Runner-Up in the Manufacturing Matters category at the Make UK Awards. We’re thrilled to receive this recognition once again, after taking home the category’s top prize last year. The Manufacturing Matters award celebrates companies that make an outstanding impact in British manufacturing, and we’re delighted to hear that our initiatives, such as The Heart of Life is Health and our Menopause and Mental Health First Aiders, were highly regarded.

For us, continuous improvement isn’t just a goal—it’s a core value that shapes everything we do. We believe that growth and improvement are essential to staying at the forefront of the medical device manufacturing sector. Our commitment to continuous improvement means we’re constantly seeking new ways to elevate our standards and drive out waste. By doing so, we ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, while also fostering a culture where our employees feel inspired to innovate and excel.

Our Head of Marketing & Communications, Dan Wilson, summed up our excitement:

“I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made at Pennine in recent years and of how committed our employees have been to driving these changes forward. This recognition is a true testament to their hard work and dedication, and I want to thank each and every team member for their invaluable contributions.”

While these recent awards are a wonderful milestone, they also inspire us to keep reaching higher. Driven by our Purpose Statement: Protecting Life, Empowering Colleagues, and Enriching Communities, our commitment to people, quality, and improvement drives us every day. We’re excited to continue making strides in our industry, enhancing our processes, and delivering innovative solutions that make a difference in healthcare around the world.
