At Pennine, we believe in fostering a workplace culture that values inclusivity, empathy, and understanding. That’s why we’re proud to champion support for colleagues experiencing menopause, breaking down barriers, and promoting wellbeing through open dialogue and practical resources.

Menopause is a natural phase of life that can bring about a variety of physical and emotional challenges. For many, this stage often goes unspoken, leading to feelings of isolation or misunderstanding. At Pennine, we’re changing that by ensuring menopause is a workplace topic we address with care, respect, and action via our three menopause champions.

Our approach includes:

  • Workplace Awareness: We provide menopause awareness training for managers and employees to ensure open communication and understanding.
  • Flexible Support: Adjusting working conditions, where necessary, to support those dealing with symptoms such as fatigue, hot flushes, or mood changes.
  • Access to Resources: Sharing videos like this, alongside guidance from trusted sources, to empower our team with the knowledge they need to thrive.
  • A Safe Space: Creating forums and confidential channels where colleagues can share experiences and seek advice.

By tackling menopause head-on, we’re living our commitment to protecting life, empowering colleagues, and enriching communities. Together, we’re building a more supportive and compassionate workplace for everyone.

Stay tuned for more resources and updates as we continue to grow this initiative – let’s keep the conversation going! Check out this video from Dr bill Robertson-Smith.
