We are thrilled to announce that our Annual Employee Ownership (EO) Day is set to take place on the 19th June 2024 at Pride Park Stadium in the heart of Derby. This year’s theme, “Bringing Our Purpose to Life,” encapsulates our ongoing commitment to making Pennine not just a great place to work, but a great place to be, with an inclusive and purpose-driven workplace culture.
Here at Pennine, we like to treat EO Day as more than just a date on the calendar—it’s a celebration of our collective achievements, values, and the shared journey of our employee-owners. This year, alongside celebrating our colleagues, we are honoured to welcome two external guests who will discuss how Pennine has made a difference through our priorities of the Protection of Life and the Enrichment of Communities.
Mark Harwood from Camstent will join us to share his insights on medical innovation through their partnership with us. Mark’s pioneering work in developing advanced medical materials aligns perfectly with our dedication to improving healthcare outcomes and driving forward-thinking solutions.
Simon Carnell from Derby County Community Trust will speak to us about the importance of community engagement and social responsibility, and the role that Pennine actively plays in supporting their work. Simon’s efforts in promoting health, well-being, and inclusivity through sports and community programmes resonate deeply with our latest initiative, ‘The Heart of Life is Health’.
Alongside the two external speakers, we will also be interviewing our Theatre Pack and Development Manager, Sarah Staufenbiel, to discuss how Pennine has been empowering colleagues in the workplace since the start of her tenure at Pennine just last year.
The day will be filled with engaging sessions designed to inspire and empower our employee-owners. These activities will provide opportunities to reflect on our achievements, discuss our future goals, and strengthen the bonds that make Pennine Healthcare a unique and thriving workforce.
