As spring arrives once again, we want to embrace the season by organising events that not only foster teamwork, but also contribute to the well-being of our communities. One such initiative that Pennine has embraced, is the annual Pennine Spring Clean.
Organised by our We Matter Council, the annual Spring Clean provides a chance for a group of our employees to distance themselves from their work environment to the great outdoors surrounding our Pennine HQ and around Derby. Carrying litter-pickers and collecting bags, we are proud to have the opportunity to spend time tidying up our surroundings and work towards a cleaner environment for the communities around us.
Our values are simple: Protecting Life, Empowering Colleagues and Enriching Communities. By participating in our spring clean, it’s great to see our employees constantly reinforcing our values that truly are at the heart of our organisation. As an Employee-Owned Trust, we are delighted to see that the great ideas of our employees are actively achieved and implemented across the business.
Beyond the immediate benefits of a clean and tidy environment, we recognise the long-term advantages of an environmentally responsible workplace. By reducing waste, promoting recycling, and implementing sustainable practices, we strive to minimize our ecological footprint but also inspire others to follow suit.
