As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an incredible year filled with growth, achievements, and moments that brought our Pennine family closer together. From health initiatives and sustainability milestones to team celebrations and community outreach, here’s what we’ve been up to:
February
We kicked off the year with initiatives focused on health and well-being.
Heart of Life is Health Initiative: We launched this to emphasise that there is no greater importance than your health and wellbeing!
Menopause Coffee Mornings: With support from our dedicated menopause champions, we created safe spaces to share experiences and foster awareness.
March
International Women’s Day: We celebrated the achievements of women in our team and beyond.
Spring Clean for Keep Britain Tidy: Our annual spring clean saw us take part in this important initiative to keep our local environment thriving.
April
Derby 10k for Prostate Cancer UK: Our team participated in this Derby based event to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Charity Rowathon: organised by our employee council We Matter. Our reception was kitted out with rowing machines, and industrial fans, for the use during our 8 hour competition between our Senior Leadership Team, We Matter, and Team Pennine.
Mission 50 Launch: We set our sights high with a bold plan to grow Pennine Healthcare into a £50 million turnover company.

Sustainability Award Win: We were thrilled to win the Sustainability Award at the Medilink Midlands Business Awards, recognising our more eco-friendly efforts.
100-Mile Bike Ride: Alongside our friends from the Cosy Foundation, we cycled 100 miles to support charity and community goals.
June
EO-Day at Derby County: Our third Employee Ownership Day was a resounding success, featuring special guests who helped us celebrate our team’s dedication.
August
Long Service Awards: We celebrated the incredible contributions of our long-standing staff members.
Business Fives Football Tournament: Competing in our fourth tournament, we showed off our teamwork and sportsmanship.
Cycle to Work Day: We embraced cycling with our own Bike to Work Scheme launch, promoting healthy and eco-friendly commuting.

ISO:14001 Certification: This significant achievement highlighted our commitment to environmental management.
New Facilities: We opened a brand-new canteen and relaxation room to enhance our workplace for everyone.
National Manufacturing Day: Welcoming two schools onsite, we inspired future generations about careers in manufacturing.
October
#Shirt2Work Day: Supporting Prostate Cancer UK, we donned shirts for a great cause.
Halloween Celebrations: A spooky, fun-filled day brought festive cheer to the business.
Award Wins: We were honored with the Commitment to People Development Award at the Derbyshire Business Awards and earned runner-up at the Make UK Manufacturing Matters Award.
November
Medica in Düsseldorf: We connected with customers and partners at this renowned medical trade show.
London Vet Show: Our third year at the Excel event allowed us to showcase our expertise.
International Men’s Day: With health checks from Livewell and a presentation from Prostate Cancer UK, we focused on men’s health and well-being.
December
Winter Party: We closed the year with a celebration to remember, reflecting on our collective achievements.
Christmas Jumper Day: The team donned their most festive outfits to spread holiday joy.
Charity Raffle: We wrapped up 2024 with a raffle, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
This year has been an incredible journey of teamwork, innovation, and growth. We’re proud of all we’ve accomplished together and excited to see what 2025 will bring for Pennine Healthcare.
