With a strong purpose statement of Protecting Lives, Empowering Colleagues, and Enriching Communities, we welcomed Aaliyah on-site, an undergraduate student from De Montfort University, for a work experience placement. You can hear about her experience below:

Aaliyah, who is studying Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science and aims to pursue a career in Quality Assurance, spent a week gaining insights into our operations.

“Whilst being at Pennine Healthcare, I was able to shadow and gain experience within the Quality Assurance field, alongside exposure to other departments. This has been an incredibly enriching experience,”

“In Quality Assurance, I learned the importance of maintaining high standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements,”

“While in other departments, I gained insights into the operational, administrative, and technical aspects that support overall quality and efficiency,”

“This diverse experience has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set, enhanced my adaptability, and deepened my appreciation for collaborative teamwork,”

“As I move forward in my career, these skills and insights will enable me to drive quality improvements and support organisational success in the dynamic field of healthcare.”

We are proud to provide students with opportunities to explore their potential and gain practical experience. By hosting students at our Derby-based site, we showcase our capabilities in manufacturing and career development, helping to nurture the next generation of talent in the healthcare industry.

Aaliyah’s placement highlights our commitment to education and hands-on experience, enriching both individual careers and the healthcare sector.
